**General Overview**

APEX TK is looking for an amazingly talented **Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer** to join our team! In this role you will be involved in leading or participating in analysis of future Missile Defense System (MDS) architectures and concepts, and modeling and simulation (M\&S) tool development to support MDS architecture assessment.

**What You'll Be Doing:**

* Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats to develop potential architecture solutions that mitigate gaps and/or improve performance
* Assist with the development of analysis plans, execute MDS simulation tools utilizing the DoD High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems, assess analysis results, prepare analysis briefs/reports, and provide reviews of analysis products
* Support modeling \& simulation (M\&S) efforts related to the above to tailor tools to specific analysis plans

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

* Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
* Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Field with 7 years of experience in missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
* Solid understanding of the current MDS architecture and future concepts
* Experience in modeling, assessment, and evaluation of future missile defense architectures
* Experience with MATLAB

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**

* Active TS/SCI Clearance
* Experience with the definition and use of advanced concepts and algorithms for the M\&S of MDS architectures
* Experience with M\&S and analysis of MDS architectures involving both directed and kinetic energy weapons and other future concepts
* Experience with HPC Systems, Python, and Git is a plus
* Experience with BMD Benchmark
* Experience supporting systems engineering-related architecture design activities
* Ability to perform technology assessment \& analysis and provide insight on the utility of potentially useful technologies
* Specialized MDS analysis experience in: threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signatures
* MBSE experience related to missile defense system architectures
