**Quality Engineer**
**About the Role**
We are seeking a **Quality Engineer** to join our team and play a key role in ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement, and supporting manufacturing operations. This position will collaborate closely with **manufacturing, quality assurance, purchasing teams, suppliers, and customers** to improve processes, reduce costs, and resolve quality issues.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Lead or support projects to improve manufacturing operations, instrumentation, and process controls.
* Implement and monitor **cost reduction and quality improvement programs**.
* Manage disposition of nonconforming materials.
* Provide quality assurance support for certifications, releases, and conversion work orders.
* Investigate and resolve customer quality issues, ensuring effective corrective actions.
* Participate in **internal quality audits** and assist with regulatory/external audits.
* Develop and implement **Statistical Process Control (SPC)** for critical parameters and new technologies.
* Support quality control aspects of **new product and process development**.
* Maintain and report on **quality metrics** through weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
* Initiate **Management of Change (MOC)** and **Manufacturing Process Experiments (MPE)** related to product quality.
* Assist with customer complaints, audits, and quality investigations.
* Provide backup support for other quality engineers and managers as needed.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering or a related technical field.
* 2+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably in the **manufacturing industry**.
* Experience with **Minitab** or other statistical software strongly preferred.
* Proven background in **continuous improvement projects** and process optimization.
* Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
* Auditing and investigation experience required.
