Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a **Senior Manufacturing Engineer -- Machine Shop** role in Cincinnati, OH. With a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced manufacturing engineering professional to help optimize machine shop operations, improve manufacturing processes, and support production teams.

**Key Responsibilities:**

· Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for CNC machining, fabrication, and machine shop operations.

· Provide senior-level engineering support to machinists, production teams, quality personnel, and other manufacturing stakeholders.

· Evaluate machining processes, tooling, fixtures, workholding, cutting parameters, and equipment to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.

· Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing cycle times, improving throughput, minimizing scrap, and lowering manufacturing costs.

· Troubleshoot complex machining, equipment, tooling, and manufacturing process issues and implement effective corrective actions.

· Review engineering drawings, specifications, GD\&T requirements, and manufacturing documentation to ensure products can be produced efficiently and accurately.

· Design, develop, or improve tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods to support new and existing production programs.

· Support CNC programming and machining strategy development, working closely with programmers and machinists to optimize processes.

· Lead or participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to manufacturing and quality issues.

· Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, routings, and standard operating procedures.

· Support new product introduction (NPI), including manufacturability reviews, process development, tooling requirements, and production readiness.

· Analyze manufacturing data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased equipment utilization.

· Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to resolve production challenges and achieve manufacturing objectives.

· Mentor engineers, technicians, and production personnel while promoting manufacturing best practices and a culture of continuous improvement.

· Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable safety, quality, and company standards.

**Qualifications:**

· Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered.

· 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably within a CNC machining or precision machine shop environment.

· Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, fixtures, workholding, feeds and speeds, and manufacturing process optimization.

· Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD\&T.

· Demonstrated experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and implementing sustainable corrective actions.

· Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

· Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, CNC programming, ERP/MRP systems, and manufacturing documentation is highly desirable.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven manufacturing decisions.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

· Ability to manage multiple engineering projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
