Data Engineer with TS/SCI

Job Description

The Data Engineer interprets business needs, develops data pipelines, supports data infrastructure, collaborates with teams, and provides Tier 3 technical support, with a focus on AWS cloud services and data governance.

**Required Qualifications**

* Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* 4 years of data engineering experience
* Experience with distributed computing frameworks and cloud environments
* Proficiency in Python, AWS Lambda, and data stores like PostgreSQL, S3, Redshift, MongoDB/DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, SQL
* Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and Agile development
* Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Master's degree or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of cloud message APIs, push notifications, and DevOps environments
* Familiarity with object-oriented programming, scripting, and databases

**Key Responsibilities**

* Identify, design, and implement process improvements and infrastructure redesigns for scalability
* Develop and maintain data pipelines and artifacts such as schemas and data dictionaries
* Integrate data pipelines with AWS cloud services to extract insights
* Support stakeholders' data infrastructure needs and troubleshoot technical issues
* Provide Tier 3 support for deployed applications and dataflows

Location: Washington, DC/ Hybrid 2 or 3 days onsite
