SC This is an onsite position The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the engineering hardening baseline enforcement and lifecycle management of enterprise Windows Linux virtualization and endpoint management platforms while serving as a technical authority for vulnerability assessment remediation and RMF compliance This is a hands on senior level engineering role requiring extensive experience supporting enterprise IT and C4I systems in secure DoD environments The candidate must be capable of independently troubleshooting complex system issues leading vulnerability remediation efforts and ensuring compliance with DoD Navy and DISA cybersecurity requirements The ideal candidate for this position will have proven experience in a technology driven program or project supporting enterprise Windows and RHEL systemsMaintain and enforce baseline configurationsAdminister and optimize VMware vSphere ESXi vCenter environmentsSupport VDI infrastructureEndpoint \& Configuration ManagementManage Active Directory and Group Policy Objects GPOsDevelop and maintain automation using PowerShell Bash Linux scripting AnsibleServe as subject matter expert for ACAS scanning and analysisLead system level vulnerability remediation efforts to closureImplement and manage endpoint security solutions Trellix HBSS ESSSupport RMF activities including control validation POA\&M development and continuous monitoringEnsure compliance with DISA STIGs DoD policies and Navy cybersecurity requirementsProvide limited support for Brocade switches firmware baselinesTroubleshoot systems in lab and production environmentsParticipate in technical reviews change management and engineering boardsProduce and review technical documentation including implementation plans test results and technical reportsCoordinate and knowledge share within a multi disciplinary engineering teamYou Have US CitizenshipPossession of a Department of Defense DoD Secret Level Security Clearance with a current SSBIT5 investigation TSSCI desiredDoD 81408570 Certifications to be qualified as an Information Assurance Technician IAT Level II eg CompTIA Security certification10 years of experience with C4I systems with specific focus on systems engineering and cybersecurity supportBachelors Degree in Engineering Computer Science or related fieldOperating System Certificate eg Linux Windows Server CCNA etcExperience supporting Navy C4I environmentsVMware Microsoft or Linux enterprise certificationsExperience supporting classified environments with privileged accessAutomate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code IaC tools such as Terraform or AnsibleStrong understanding of DevSecOps principlesProficiency in scripting and programming languages eg Python Bash PowerShellExperience with CICD tools and automation platformsFamiliarity with containerization and cloud securityExcellent communication and collaboration skillsFamiliarity with Navy cloud and
