Prep Engineer

Job Description

As a Prep Engineer you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and maintenance of systems and related equipment in our warehouse and offering remote support for these systems on site The ability to work as part of the wider team and other departments and prioritise tasks are paramount to the role The skills and expertise you will learn in the role are valuable to other departments at Creative Technology and you can expect to find times where you are required to work with these other teams developing your own knowledge and teamwork Previous experience of live events systems is advantageous Responsibilities Project Building and configuring systems including ancillary itemsPrepping and testing of large scale or complex systemsAssisting packing prepped equipment into cases ensuring they will not be damaged in transit and contain everything required to get the equipment working on siteCompleting quality control on prepped systems prior to shippingMonitoring and reporting of losses and damages to all departmental equipmentMonitoring of future rental requirements for projects and reporting short falls and tight turnarounds to the relevant technical project or rental teamsDepartment Basic configuration of Vision mixing equipment to ensure robust testing and inter system connectivityAssisting check in check out and maintenance of all department rental stockAssisting the department to ensure all equipment is maintained to a high standardSharing responsibility for maintaining tidy efficient prep and warehouse areasOther Responsibilities Constantly working to improve your knowledge of our equipment and the technology that drives itComplete all training required by the companyActively engage with the rest of the engineering teams and freelancers to gain knowledge and experience that may build your own capabilitiesMake your line manager aware of any training or manufacturer demonstration opportunities that you come acrossUphold the high standards or delivery and professionalism expected by Creative Technology and our clientsAdhere to all company policies and processesAssist other teams with the overall delivery of projects and proactively find these opportunities when time permitsAwareness of previous and upcoming equipment requirements with a view to speed up the preparation process
