the time Veterans spend waiting for outcomes Primary Responsibilities In this role you will serve as an emerging individual contributor within a team expanding your leadership guidance and mentoring skills With the support and guidance of leadership you will be responsible for supporting the goal of meeting scope schedule and delivery requirements You will interact with stakeholders and utilize influential skills to drive improvements in DevOps processes and practices Primary responsibilities include Exhibits influential skills to collaborate across teams to consolidate and simplify DevOps tools and servicesExhibits the ability to solve problems in ways that drive towards simplicity of architecture and operationsCapable of completing cloud infrastructure and automated deployment tasks at the direction of a senior engineerBuilds libraries modules and packages for other infrastructure engineers to integrate with their projectsBuilds cloud infrastructure that supports applications and Improves the broader developer experience for engineersSupports CICD processes to help deliver software of higher quality at greater speedIntegrates tools to satisfy non functional requirements such as quality thresholds security vulnerabilities and static analysisBuilds specific application test and deployment pipelines using automated tooling such as Jenkins Github Actions Circle CI Gitlab CIProgressive experience working with our government partners and app teams to ensure that we are shipping software that meets security SLA and performance requirementsBasic Qualifications Bachelors degree and 5 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceHands on production experience with AWS as a primary cloud providerWorking proficiency with Kubernetes EKS or equivalent deploying troubleshooting and managing containerized workloadsProficient with Terraform or comparable IaC tool for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructureExperience building and maintaining CICD pipelines using GitHub Actions Jenkins or similarComfortable working in a Linux environment shell scripting systemd networking basics package managementBackground in key DevOps concepts containerization virtualization networking load balancingreverse proxiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsTeam player who can work with other engineers to resolve issuesAbility to clearly explain technical decisions and tradeoffs regarding complex infrastructure to teammates and stakeholdersContributes meaningfully to planning discussionsReliably performs DevOps support rotation business hours and on call responsibility beyond business hoursUS citizenship or current legal authorization to work and reside in the United States without employer sponsorship is required Candidates must also be able to successfully complete and maintain any required government background investigation as a condition of employmentPreferred Qualifications Direct experience with Terragrunt for managing multi environmentmulti account Terraform configurationsExperience with Argo CD Argo Workflows or other GitOps deployment toolingFamiliarity with HAProxy andor OpenResty or comparable reverse proxy API gateway tools like NGINX Envoy KongProficiency with at least one scriptingcoding language Go Bash Python etcExperience with GitHub Actions specifically reusable workflows composite actions self hosted runnersExperience integrating securityquality tooling into pipelines SASTDAST dependency
