Senior Project Engineer - Multifamily Construction

Job Description

**Summary**

A growing multifamily builder is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join its San Diego construction team. This role will support large-scale, ground-up multifamily projects, working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents throughout construction.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer with a background in multifamily construction who wants to work on substantial local projects and continue progressing toward Project Management.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project execution
* Manage RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and drawing coordination
* Assist with subcontractor buyout, change orders, and cost tracking
* Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, design teams, and ownership
* Review plans and specifications for constructability and coordination issues
* Support project scheduling, progress tracking, and field coordination
* Assist with quality control and resolution of project issues
* Support project closeout, turnover documentation, and final completion
* Maintain accurate project records and communication across the project team

**Requirements**

* 5 years of Project Engineer or related construction experience
* Strong ground-up multifamily construction experience required
* Experience supporting larger-scale multifamily projects preferred
* Strong understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, buyout, and project documentation
* Bluebeam and Microsoft Office experience preferred
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
