**Job Title**: Civil Project Engineer - Commercial Development Resources

**Location:** Costa Mesa, CA

**Salary:** $85k - 110k/Year

**Company Overview**

Tiello is partnered with a growing **site development consultancy** specializing in civil engineering, land development, utilities, surveying, planning, and permitting for commercial projects across the U.S.

The **Project Engineer** will support the design and execution of commercial land development projects while working closely with Project Managers, clients, consultants, and municipalities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a civil engineer looking to grow into a **Project Manager** role while gaining hands-on experience across all phases of site development.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Prepare site design plans for commercial land development projects

• Develop grading plans, drainage calculations, and utility infrastructure designs

• Coordinate water, sewer, storm drainage, dry utilities, and related improvements

• Review zoning ordinances, development regulations, and agency requirements

• Conduct due diligence, utility research, regulatory reviews, and site investigations

• Prepare conceptual site plans and development layouts

• Develop erosion and sediment control plans and supporting calculations

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and municipalities throughout project execution

• Support Project Managers with project coordination and delivery

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team success

**Required Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

• **4+ years of land development experience**

• Proficiency with **AutoCAD Civil 3D**

• **EIT certification required**

• Experience with grading, drainage, and utility design for commercial projects

• Working knowledge of relevant regulations and codes

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
