**WHAT YOU'LL DO:**
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager / HVAC Designer to join our team. This position will be responsible for providing project management, technical leadership, and mechanical/HVAC design services across a variety of building projects. The ideal candidate will have strong MEP experience and the ability to manage projects while remaining actively involved in the technical design.
* Manage mechanical projects and project teams from concept through completion.
* Provide technical leadership and mechanical/HVAC design on assigned projects.
* Assist with and produce construction documents for new buildings, renovations, and additions to existing facilities.
* Perform and review HVAC load calculations and equipment selections.
* Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
* Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
* Review construction documents for accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
* Communicate with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders to address project needs and resolve technical issues.
* Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
* Incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient design practices into projects when applicable.
**What We're looking for:**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
* Experience in MEP engineering and mechanical/HVAC project management.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical building codes, standards, and industry practices.
* Experience performing accurate HVAC load calculations.
* Mechanical/HVAC design experience in retail, commercial, central plants, boilers, cooling towers, and related markets.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment selection, and building design.
* Knowledge of sustainable design practices and energy-efficient building systems.
* Strong project management and organizational skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to effectively coordinate projects across multiple disciplines.
* High proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with project teams.
