Civil Engineer Leader (Senior to Principal)

Talon Hiring Solutions is partnering with a leading engineering and infrastructure organization to identify experienced Civil Engineering Leaders to support and lead the design, planning, and execution of complex industrial, infrastructure, utility, and large-scale site development projects.

We are seeking accomplished civil engineers with strong technical expertise in site development, drainage, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, permitting, and construction support. What You'll Do

* Lead civil engineering efforts on large-scale infrastructure, industrial, utility, manufacturing, and site development projects.
* Develop and oversee:

* Site grading plans

* Stormwater management systems

* Drainage and conveyance systems

* Erosion and sediment control plans

* Roadway and access improvements

* Underground utility infrastructure

* Equipment foundations and site structures

* Heavy industrial site development packages
* Perform and review engineering calculations related to hydrology, hydraulics, drainage, earthwork, utility infrastructure, and site development.
* Develop engineering reports, technical studies, specifications, construction packages, and design documentation.
* Support projects through all phases of execution, including planning, permitting, design, procurement, construction, and project closeout.
* Coordinate closely with structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and project management teams.
* Participate in project planning, risk assessments, constructability reviews, and technical evaluations.
* Review contractor submittals, RFIs, field modifications, and construction documentation.
* Conduct site visits, field investigations, and engineering assessments.
* Lead technical reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and project requirements.
* Assist with project estimating, scope development, budgeting, and proposal activities.
* Mentor engineers and designers while supporting professional growth and technical development.
* Contribute to engineering standards, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.

What You'll Bring

* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
* 8+ years of civil engineering experience, with consideration given to highly qualified senior and principal-level candidates with extensive leadership experience.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or required depending on experience level.
* Strong experience with:

* Site development design

* Stormwater management

* Drainage systems

* Utility infrastructure

* Foundation coordination

* Civil construction support

* Permitting and regulatory compliance
* Knowledge of civil engineering codes, standards, and industry best practices.
* Proficiency with:

* AutoCAD Civil 3D

* AutoCAD

* Bluebeam

* Microsoft Office
* Experience with MicroStation, GIS platforms, or hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proven ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and mentor technical teams.
* Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering projects in industrial, infrastructure, utility, commercial, or EPC-related environments.
