Principal Software Engineer (CoreAI)

Job Description

Full stack engineers with strong skills in multiple languages and frameworks like React, Next.js/Remix, Node.js, TypeScript, and Python together with experience in backend service development and/or API-driven developer experience. We value engineers who leverage AI-assisted development tools to achieve exceptional velocity and quality---and who are passionate about LLMs, GenAI, and Azure. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Python, C#, Node.js, OR equivalent experience 6+ years of experience in platform or front-end development using multiple languages and frameworks including JavaScript, TypeScript, and React 4+ years of experience in backend service development (APIs, microservices, or distributed systems) OR 4+ years of experience in creating developer platforms (APIs, SDKs, CLIs, etc.) Demonstrated proficiency with AI-assisted software development tools and workflows (e.g., AI coding agents, LLM-powered development environments) Expertise in LLM and GenAI Application development. Deep understanding of modern front-end technologies such as NextJS / Remix , SSR , Web Components, and performance optimization techniques Experience with distributed systems design and implementation Experience designing and building RESTful APIs or GraphQL services Track record of high development velocity through effective use of AI coding assistants and automation Experience orchestrating complex development workflows across multiple concurrent workstreams Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or C# for service development Knowledge of industry APIs and developer platforms for LLM-driven agentic systems Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, or vector databases) Passion for machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science. Experience working on large-scale Ui-intensive product development Leverage modern, AI-assisted development practices and tooling to accelerate delivery while maintaining high code quality Architect full stack solutions that span from user experience and code-first platforms to backend data and service layers Develop software using languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Python, and others Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that support agentic workflows and platform capabilities Collaborate with partner teams to comprehend, define, enhance, and develop AzureML capabilities Respond, resolve, and integrate customer feedback with agility and dedication Lead by example, adhering to best engineering practices, raising the quality bar, and improving the team's response to customer incidents
