Principal Space Solar Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Define and own the mechanical architecture for perovskite-silicon tandem space solar cells, including substrate selection and bonding systems. Lead structural analysis, hardware prototyping, and environmental testing to ensure reliability during launch and orbit.

Requirements: Requires an M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Materials, or Aerospace Engineering with over 10 years of hands-on aerospace hardware R&D experience. Must possess deep expertise in adhesive bonding, FEA tools like ANSYS or Abaqus, and space-qualified material characterization.
