plants and site development with expertise in underground utilities roadway construction and related civil infrastructure We are seeking a Project Engineer to support our Water \& Wastewater Treatment Plant WWTP division This role is based out of Jacksonville FL and supports projects throughout our service area It is ideal for a motivated detail oriented professional who thrives in planning preparation and execution while contributing to complex infrastructure projects that make a lasting impact in the communities we serve What Youll DoProject Planning \& ExecutionSupport project planning preparation and execution for water and wastewater treatment plant construction projectsAssist with production planning quantity tracking and cost forecasting to support project efficiency and profitabilityApply technical knowledge of construction methods sequencing and logistics to support field operationsCollaboration \& LeadershipWork closely with Project Managers Superintendents and field teams to support project milestones and deliverablesServe as a technical resource to help solve field and coordination challengesModel Petticoat Schmitts values of Accountability Character and Were Looking ForExperience \& Education13 years of experience in civil construction project engineering construction management or a related environmentExperience with water and wastewater treatment plant construction strongly preferredBachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related fieldTechnical \& Professional SkillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong analytical organizational and documentation skillsAbility to read and interpret construction plans specifications and project documentsEffective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across field and office teamsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in both office and active construction environmentsAbility to lift up to 80 poundsAbility to climb ladders or scaffolding and safely navigate active construction sitesAbility to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite
