Since 2018 Elevate Aircraft Seating has been enhancing the passenger experience through innovative aircraft seat design and manufacturing With locations in California Washington and Germany we are guided by creativity collaboration and a shared commitment to quality We are looking for a skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team in Huntington Beach CA This is an on site position based in Huntington Beach CA We value teamwork inclusivity and continuous professional development and we offer competitive benefits along with opportunities for growth JOB SUMMARY The Industrial Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing lean concepts and continuous improvement initiatives This role will design one piece flow production lines with an established TAKT time The Industrial Engineer will apply Lean manufacturing methods to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES Essential Functions Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested Reasonable accommodations may enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions Design and implement production lines running to TAKT times based on customer demandPerform time studies through direct observation and use data to balance one piece flow production lines sub assembly lines and to find and remove inefficienciesHelp implement the planning and layout of the production lines and support areas within facility creates layout drawings in AutocadPlan lead and execute the implementation of CI Continuous Improvements across the facility with focus on production and materials teamsWork with operators to create toolparts holders to improve shopfloor 5s and reduce damage to parts improve ergonomics and efficiencyCreate and maintain Key Performance Indicators for production lineMentor team and teaches Lean ConceptsDetermine monitor and improve upon TAKT cycle times and implements processes make sure production lines can meet TAKT times and rebalance if necessary find root cause of variability on production linesLead special projects as neededCreate Lean and robust processes including process management process maturity visual management standard work TAKT timers and Andon systemsIdentify process improvement opportunities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectivenessCoordinate sequencing of work such as build and delivery to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resourcesDesign build and improve Material Conveyance systemsMaintain a safe secure and legal work environment adhering to all Company policies and proceduresContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededMaintain and protect the confidentiality of the Companys information and productsPerform other duties and projects as assigned or requestedGENERAL QUALIFICATIONS Education Knowledge and Experience Education Bachelors Degree in Engineering; Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering degree is required Experience 5 years of Lean Manufacturing practices5 years of Experience in implementing process improvements5 years of experience in leading cross functional teams and leadersSkills Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExperience in understanding a variety of aerospace manufacturing processesKnowledge of related software including CATIA AUTOCAD and PLMPreferred SkillsExperience Kaizen EventsLean ManufacturingContinuous ImprovementSingle Piece FlowIndustrial or manufacturing experienceLine Balancing Running lines to TAKT timersOther May be asked to work extended or irregular hours as requiredMust show proof of ability to work in the United StatesElevate Aircraft Seating is an at will employer;
