Job Description

**Our client is a very well established manufacturer of products for the expanding electric power industry. They have an immediate need for an entry/junior level manufacturing engineer to join their staff in Memphis--They would love someone bilingual Spanish/English but it is not mandatory. They will assist with relo, but really ideally for someone who is renting an apartment who would be an inexpensive relo.**
This entry-level engineer is responsible for supporting production processes, learning manufacturing systems, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives under close supervision. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

* Assist in developing and maintaining standard work instructions
* Support process troubleshooting on the production floor
* Collect and analyze basic production data (scrap, cycle time, downtime)
* Participate in Lean / Six Sigma projects (often as a team member)
* Help implement process improvements and cost reduction ideas
* Support tooling, fixtures, and equipment setup
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
* Work with operators and technicians to resolve day-to-day issues

Qualifications

* BSME or equivalent
* 0 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
* Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
* Introductory Lean concepts (5S, waste reduction)
* CAD exposure (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
* Excel / basic data analysis
