**The Position**

The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the company's quality management systems and ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Quality Manager, this individual will support all aspects of quality engineering and lead quality technicians in maintaining consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by strengthening quality systems, improving manufacturing processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Support and maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485 quality management system requirements.
* Participate in and support internal quality audits and corrective action activities.
* Lead and oversee the PPAP and APQP processes, ensuring customer and project requirements are met.
* Develop, maintain, and improve quality documentation, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and related process documentation.
* Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
* Lead and support problem-solving activities utilizing tools such as 8D, root cause analysis, and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
* Support customer quality requirements and ensure consistent adherence to established quality standards.
* Lead and provide directions to quality technicians in support of daily production and quality objectives.
* Monitor and support departmental KPIs and identify opportunities for quality and process improvement.
* Participate in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, Kaizen, and plant safety initiatives.
* Utilize statistical and process control tools to improve process capability and reduce variation.

**Qualifications**

The successful candidate will possess a combination of technical knowledge, manufacturing experience, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

**Required Qualifications and Experience**

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent quality experience will be considered.
* A minimum of three years of quality or manufacturing experience; experience in injection molding is strongly preferred.
* Experience supporting ISO 9001:2015 and quality management systems.
* Internal Auditor certification for ISO 900, ISO 13485 and FDA regulations, or equivalent training and demonstrated auditing experience.
* Experience developing and maintaining PFMEAs, Control Plans, and standardized work or process documentation.
* Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability, and process control methodologies.
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
