We are seeking a results-driven Territory Sales Manager (Chicago) to lead and support sales efforts within the HVAC industry. The ideal candidate will work closely with HVAC designers, engineers, contractors, and distribution channels to drive project specifications, support design-build initiatives, and expand market reach. **++Key Responsibilities:++**
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with HVAC designers, engineers, contractors, and distributors.
* Collaborate with contractors to support design-build projects and ensure the integration of HVAC specifications.
* Expand vertical sales channels and engage with new distribution partners for existing and new products.
* Create, organize, and deliver class curricula for engineered HVAC products.
* Provide hands-on training, direct instruction, factory trips, and interaction with manufacturers for engineers and contractors.
* Guide key commercial distribution personnel in utilizing estimating software and pricing tools, fostering self-sufficiency.
* Work with the Distribution Sales Director to implement plans and programs that strengthen the distribution sales channel.
* Prepare detailed equipment selections and proposals, ensuring precision at every stage of the sales process.
* Partner with the estimating department to direct plan-spec bids effectively.
* Research and analyze competitor offerings and market positions to refine product strategies.
* Collaborate with manufacturers to deliver tailored HVAC package solutions that address evolving market needs.
* Represent the company at ASHRAE, HARDI, local trade shows, association meetings, golf outings, and other networking events.
* Build brand awareness and strengthen industry presence through active participation.
* Provide field and phone-based technical support for the installed product base, ensuring customer satisfaction and reliability.
**++Required Skills and Experience:++**
* Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including design, specifications, and installation.
* Demonstrated ability to engage with engineers and contractors, providing technical solutions to optimize building designs.
* Experience with estimating software, pricing tools, and the sales cycle within the HVAC industry.
* Proficient in developing training programs and delivering effective technical instruction.
* Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
* Active involvement in industry organizations such as ASHRAE or HARDI.
* Proven experience in sales and technical support for HVAC systems or related industries.
* Ability to analyze market trends and competition to inform strategic decisions.
