Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experience **Mechanical Engineer** with experience in building systems to support the design and delivery of mechanical systems for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC design and experience working on federal projects.

* Design HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and government buildings
* Develop mechanical plans, layouts, specifications, and construction documents
* Perform HVAC load calculations and equipment selections
* Design and review mechanical systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards
* Work on projects from initial design through construction
* Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation
* Participate in project meetings and communicate with clients, contractors, and project teams
* Help develop project schedules and budgets
* Conduct site visits and assist with construction administration as needed

**Qualifications**

* 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience in building systems
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
* Experience working on federal projects is required
* Strong HVAC design experience
* Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
* Knowledge of applicable building codes, standards, and federal requirements
* Strong technical and communication skills
* Ability to manage project responsibilities and meet deadlines
* PE license preferred

**Project Experience**

Experience with federal, government, commercial, healthcare, higher education, military, or other large-scale building projects is highly valued.
