Product Engineer (NPD/DTV)

Job Description

**++What we are looking for:++**

We are looking for a New Product Development / Design to Value (NPD/DTV) Engineer to be responsible for the development of refrigerated merchandisers, as well as cost reduction efforts on the existing product lines.

**++What you will be responsible for in this role:++**

* Apply value engineering methodologies to optimize cost position on existing products.
* Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and Manufacturing Engineering to implement cost saving projects.
* Manage the DTV project from concept to completion, including scheduling and cross functional communication
* Brainstorm new and innovative solutions to achieve the product standardization and modularity.
* Develop CAD solid models and engineering simulation of proposed concepts.
* Collaborate with Product Management to validate the solution with the customer.
* Develop a test plan and work with the Engineering Lab to validate the solution.
* Conduct field tests to validate the solution.

* Ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrates capability to solve difficult and complex problems

**++What are the basic qualifications?++**

* B.S. in Engineering
* 1-3 years of experience in design of industrial products

**++What are the preferred qualifications?++**

* Experience with product design and solid modeling in a manufacturing environment.

* Experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, dehumidifier, sealed-system, airflow thermal management, or similar, design theory and application

* Experience in practical application of Six Sigma and Lean tools
* MS Mechanical Engineering
