If youre passionate about this we want to hear from you About the Role MWH is currently seeking a qualified Project Engineer to support a critical wastewater treatment plant project in Gresham Oregon This position will support the Project Management team through a variety of commercial functions including cost management change management contract administration forecasting reporting and project controls Essential Functions Cost Management \& Forecasting 35 Assist Project Managers in tracking project costs budgets forecasts and financial performanceSupport monthly cost reporting cash flow forecasting and project performance analysisMonitor cost trends and identify potential risks opportunities and variancesAssist with earned value reporting and project controls activitiesMaintain accurate commercial records and support project audits as requiredContract Administration \& Change Management 35 Review subcontract agreements purchase orders and contract documents to ensure commercial complianceSupport administration of subcontractor and supplier contracts throughout the project lifecycleAssist in the preparation evaluation and negotiation of change ordersAnalyze subcontractor change requests and support validation of pricing and entitlementTrack time and material work force account activities and executed change ordersCoordinate with Project Managers Superintendents subcontractors and clients to ensure timely resolution of commercial issuesProject Coordination \& Communication 20 Support Project Managers with planning execution and reporting activitiesParticipate in project meetings and document commercial action items requiring follow upCoordinate with field teams schedulers subcontractors and stakeholders to support project objectivesAssist in aligning project schedules procurement activities cost forecasts and change management effortsCommunicate effectively with project team members to support project successDocumentation \& Reporting 10 Maintain accurate project documentation logs correspondence commercial records and contract filesPrepare reports presentations and project status updates for internal and external stakeholdersEnsure project documentation is maintained in accordance with company procedures and project requirementsBasic Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or related field required3 years of experience in project engineering commercial project controls construction management contract administration or related project delivery rolesExperience supporting cost management change management forecasting budgeting or contract administration activitiesFamiliarity with construction contracts project documentation and commercial management processesStrong analytical organizational communication and problem solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly ExcelAbility to be onsite 5 days a weekPreferred Qualifications Experience supporting large infrastructure heavy civil waterwastewater or commercial construction projectsExperience with change management subcontract administration and cost forecastingKnowledge of project controls and commercial management best practicesExperience with Procore Primavera P6 CMiC SAP or similar project management software platformsPrevious internship co op
