Senior DevOps Engineer - Mumbai

Job Description

Senior DevOps Engineer role for an AWS-focused engineer to design scalable cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, strengthen reliability, and drive modern DevOps practices.

**Requirements**

* 9+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or related engineering roles

* Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, VPC, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, and EventBridge

* Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and AWS CodeDeploy

* Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation

* Strong experience with Docker and containerized applications

* Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills

* Solid understanding of networking, security, IAM, and system design

* Experience with AWS Systems Manager and CloudWatch

* Good understanding of deployment strategies such as blue-green and rolling deployments

* Experience working with Nginx, MySQL, Flask, and PHP-FPM

* Good understanding of monitoring, logging, alerting, and infrastructure reliability

* Experience with event-driven or microservices-based architectures is a plus

* Understanding of AWS cost optimization and performance tuning is a plus

**Responsibilities**

* Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure

* Build fault-tolerant and cost-efficient cloud systems

* Architect event-driven and serverless solutions using Lambda and EventBridge

* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and AWS CodeDeploy

* Automate application deployments and infrastructure changes

* Implement blue-green and rolling deployment strategies

* Provision infrastructure using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation

* Develop reusable and scalable IaC modules and templates

* Integrate infrastructure provisioning into CI/CD workflows

* Manage infrastructure using AWS Systems Manager and CloudWatch

* Handle patching, automation, remote configuration, and day-to-day infrastructure operations

* Build and manage Docker-based applications on ECS

* Maintain Linux-based application environments

* Set up monitoring, dashboards, centralized logging, and proactive alerting

* Troubleshoot infrastructure and application-level issues

* Implement AWS security best practices across IAM, networking, and service communication

* Manage VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT Gateways, and security groups
