Product Engineer

Job Description

**Responsibilities:**

* Develop 3D models, assemblies, surfaces, and 2D technical drawings using CATIA V5
* Work from customer requirements, specifications, and initial concepts to develop production-ready designs
* Create detailed drawings, specifications, and part lists
* Support product development from concept through testing, validation, and production
* Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve design issues
* Participate in design reviews and cross-functional project meetings
* Make design modifications based on testing, manufacturing feedback, or customer requirements
* Support prototype and sample builds as needed
* Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding design requirements and project updates
* Occasionally travel to customer or manufacturing locations as needed

**Qualifications:**

* 3+ years of experience in product, mechanical, or automotive design
* Technical degree, CAD certification, or equivalent relevant experience
* Strong experience with **CATIA V5**
* Experience with 3D modeling, surfacing, assemblies, and 2D drafting
* **UG NX experience is a plus**
* Experience with **Teamcenter or another PLM system**
* Experience working with engineered components or assemblies within an automotive, transportation, or similar manufacturing environment
* Understanding of product testing, validation, and manufacturing processes
* Strong mechanical problem-solving skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams
* Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems; PLEX experience is a plus
