Deep Elasticsearch expertise including architecture, Query DSL, relevance and performance. Strong debugging and performance optimization. Understand the existing platform, API contract, data schema, ingestion architecture and downstream consumers. Define Elastic indexing, mappings, analyzers, queries, relevance and performance strategy. Design/contribute to Elastic/Google query routing and common response transformation. Ensure existing API contract and data schema remain unchanged. Lead Elastic integration with Java applications and microservices. Work with data engineers on ingestion extensions and batch/real-time decisions. Establish search benchmarks, comparison metrics and A/B-test measurement. Analyze Elastic vs. Google differences and lead troubleshooting. Define test scenarios covering product, pricing, inventory, taxonomy and search edge cases. Lead UAT/business acceptance support and mentor engineers. Drive technical decisions, reviews, risk mitigation and documentation.
