Analytics Engineer

Job Description

The Analytics Engineer will support the development of Broadstone Net Leases modern automated data platform by building data pipelines models and APIs that power reporting business analytics and internal applications across the organization The individual will leverage their interest in understanding how our business works in partnership with internal teams to support and implement durable scalable data solutions in addition to related projects and initiatives The ideal candidate will work analytically communicate effectively prioritize multiple projects and demonstrate the ability to succeed in a dynamic growing environment This position reports to the Director Corporate Finance \& Business Analytics Essential Job Duties \& Responsibilities Work with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and design dashboards analytics and scalable data products that answer real questions and drive decisionsBuild and maintain automated data pipelines that ingest data from internal systems and external vendor APIs Write and optimize SQL and contribute to database design schema and data modeling and warehouse architectureLeverage AI coding tools eg Claude Code codex to accelerate development while reading understanding and validating all AI generated code taking full ownership of the correctness and quality of work reaching productionIntegrate LLMAI capabilities into BNL solutions where neededDevelop and evaluate options in infrastructure planning to support new applications and technologiesWork with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and design dashboards analytics and scalable data products that answer real questions and drive decisionsPartner with analysts and business teams to convert manual processes into automated reusable data products the organization relies onExecutes duties and maintains standards in accordance with company policies and proceduresAdditional duties as requiredOvertime hours may be required as job duties demandSkillsQualifications Working knowledge of Python and SQL programming languages Cloud platform exposure; Azure strongly preferredOwnership mindset with a drive to convert complex manual problems into durable automated solutionsBusiness curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding how the business works with a focus on building analytics that solve real problemsSelf starter with a proven ability to work independently demonstrating resourcefulness in problem solving and decision makingExcellent organization and planning skills; ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and follow through in a timely mannerEffective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of technical knowledgeHigh level proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word Excel PowerPoint and OutlookSolid work ethic and a professional proactive and positive approach to workEducationExperience Bachelors degree in Applied Statistics Computer Science Data Science Information Systems or related discipline from a four year accredited college or university required1 3 years of data software or analytics engineering experience Familiarity with Power BI including building datasetsAzure Data Factory Functions or DevOps experience strongly preferredExperience building APIs with FastAPI or consuming external data APIs a plusExperience integrating LLMAI APIs or with AI assisted development a plusAzure WebApp services a plus Interest in finance real estate or Real Estate Investment Trusts REITs desired Environment and Physical Demands Professional office environment with routine use of standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machine;
