Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Own the mechanical design, development, analysis, and commissioning of primary and secondary fusion components and subsystems, including producing engineering drawings and designing assembly tooling. Coordinate prototyping and manufacturing, execute qualification testing, track progress against program milestones, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or a related field, and at least five years of experience. Candidates should have led the design, build, and commissioning of custom systems; be proficient with CAD and complex assemblies; understand fabrication requirements and GD&T; and be able to guide technical work and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
