Facility Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

Lead and deliver mechanical engineering design for PNNL facilities, including engineering studies, calculations, drawings, specifications, procurement support, construction administration, and field inspections. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and facility stakeholders, resolve technical and constructability issues, review engineering work, and mentor less-experienced staff.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least five years of relevant facility mechanical design and analysis experience, or a master’s degree or higher with at least three years. Preferred qualifications include a PE license or ability to obtain one, experience with complex facility systems and construction-phase services, relevant design software, sustainable design, and mentoring; U.S. citizenship is required.
