Mechanical Engineer - Structures & Mechanisms

Job Description

Lead the design, development, testing, and evaluation of structural and mechanical components for a commercial space station, including requirements development, analysis, modeling, and engineering reviews. Oversee hardware manufacturing and assembly, document engineering work, and present findings to managers, clients, and customers.

Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field and 7–12 years of relevant experience are required; a master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have expertise in structural and mechanical analysis, product development, CAD and FEA tools, engineering drawings and GD&T, manufacturing and testing, and preferably spaceflight hardware and NASA standards.
