Principal Software Engineer, Developer Platforms

Job Description

Provide technical leadership for quality systems and design production-grade platforms that improve software validation and release confidence. Partner with leaders across Splunk and Cisco on platform direction, guide modernization and migration across engineering teams, and contribute hands-on while mentoring senior engineers.

Requirements: Requires at least 8 years of professional software engineering experience and at least 3 years in developer platforms, quality engineering, CI/CD, build systems, release automation, infrastructure platforms, or developer tooling. Candidates need experience with modern software development practices and leading architectural change or large-scale migrations, plus a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
