Senior Software Engineer, Configuration & Experiments

Job Description

Design, implement, and maintain large-scale backend services and mission-critical systems that deliver configurations and features to Waymo’s autonomous vehicle fleet. Develop safe configuration rollout, evaluation, and A/B testing processes while collaborating with engineering, product, operations, and data science teams.

Requirements: Requires at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years working on large-scale distributed systems. Candidates should demonstrate cross-organizational collaboration, clear technical communication, and experience building mechanisms that protect safety and reliability in high-stakes systems.
