Assistant Engineer - Mechanical

Job Description

Review building and facility plans for compliance with mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, energy, and related codes; verify mechanical adequacy, prepare specifications, and advise engineers, architects, and contractors. Depending on assignment, manage energy and HVAC projects, conduct energy audits, recommend and implement conservation measures, and develop renewable energy projects.

Requirements: Applicants must meet one education or credential option: a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, an Engineer-in-Training certificate, or professional mechanical engineer registration; qualifying experience may substitute for missing education. They must also have two years of professional-level mechanical engineering experience that includes plan review, mechanical adequacy verification, and advising on plan modifications and design issues.
