Senior Staff Software Engineer, Agentic Storytelling, Photos

Job Description

Define the long-term technical direction and scalable architecture for agentic storytelling in Google Photos, and lead development of conversational AI experiences that connect curation, retrieval, story generation, and editing. Establish engineering practices for agentic systems, collaborate with Photos and research teams to integrate generative models, and coach engineers in AI-enabled development workflows.

Requirements: A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, along with 8 years of C++ programming experience and 5 years of experience in design and architecture, including testing and launching software products. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or PhD, 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms, 5 years in technical leadership, and 3 years working across a complex, matrixed organization.
