Power System Engineer

Job Description

Manage and perform system impact studies for generator interconnection requests, assessing reliability impacts and identifying potential transmission improvements. Evaluate Transmission Owner projects, communicate technical findings and requirements to stakeholders, and coordinate studies from kickoff through completion when serving as project manager.

Requirements: A bachelor's degree in a listed electrical, computer, or related engineering discipline and at least four years of job-related experience are required. Power system planning or operations experience and familiarity with tools such as PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, or VSAT are preferred; experience with generation interconnection studies, modeling, report writing, and basic Python is also relevant.
