Advise engineering design decisions by analyzing neutron radiation effects on materials, predicting changes to material properties, and assessing system-level radiation risks. Lead testing and strategic projects, review and summarize technical literature, and collaborate with internal teams, vendors, national laboratories, and universities.
Requirements: Requires a degree in nuclear engineering, materials science, physics, or a related discipline, typically accompanied by at least 15 years of hands-on experience in radiation effects on materials and radioactive material handling. Also requires at least eight years of experience in non-aqueous corrosion and environmentally assisted degradation, neutron interactions, and coding-based data analysis, with strong statistical, presentation, and technical writing skills.
