Senior Materials Engineer, Diagnostics

Job Description

Lead the development and deployment of in-situ and ex-situ diagnostics to detect and quantify degradation in fusion-relevant materials and components. Define diagnostic requirements and experiments, integrate sensors into hardware and predictive models, and communicate test results, risks, and recommendations across teams.

Requirements: Requires a BS with 10 or more years of experience, or an MS/PhD with at least 5 years, in materials science, materials engineering, applied physics, nuclear engineering, or a related field. Candidates need relevant experience in materials diagnostics, NDE or SHM, coupled-stimuli experiments, sensor integration, and data analysis; experience in radiation environments, PIE, or high-voltage systems is preferred.
