Principal Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

Lead the architecture, implementation, testing, documentation, and debugging of embedded software, primarily in C and C++, for advanced research and development prototypes. Set technical direction with multidisciplinary teams, integrate and troubleshoot hardware and RF/SDR interfaces, establish software engineering best practices, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements: Requires a relevant degree and substantial experience—typically 10 or more years with a bachelor's degree, eight with a master's, or five with a PhD—along with expert programming skills and demonstrated technical leadership in complex embedded systems. Candidates need experience with real-time operating systems, POSIX, Linux/BSD, processor architectures, hardware interfaces, and PNT, RF communications, or radar/sensor systems, plus an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship eligibility.
