Software Engineer, Search Infrastructure

Job Description

Design, build, and operate systems coordinating search classification, retrieval, ranking, and model inference, while improving latency, throughput, efficiency, and reliability. Develop experimentation and search API capabilities, validate systems through shadow traffic and load testing, and own safe production launches and ongoing operations.

Requirements: Candidates should have significant experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems, with expertise in performance, reliability, or resource efficiency and experience in search, information retrieval, ML infrastructure, inference serving, or similar online systems. They should bring strong programming and debugging skills and be able to translate ambiguous needs into technical plans, align teams, and deliver measurable results.
