Senior Software Engineer - Vehicle Motion Planning & Control

Job Description

Design and implement motion-planning, decision-making, vehicle-control, and estimation algorithms, including real-time C++ software for embedded automotive systems. Build simulation and analysis tools, evaluate driving quality and safety using metrics and field data, integrate with perception and platform teams, and validate features on vehicles.

Requirements: Requires at least 3 years of software engineering experience, production-quality modern C++ and Python skills, and hands-on experience in motion planning, decision-making, or vehicle controls for autonomous vehicles, ADAS, or robotics. Candidates should have a foundation in mathematics and vehicle dynamics, experience deploying features in the real world, and be able to work from the Berkeley office at least Tuesday through Thursday.
