Staff Software Engineer

Job Description

Set technical direction and architecture for AI agents and conversational experiences across the HR domain, including autonomy boundaries, shared instructions and tools, and model and orchestration decisions. Build evaluation, safety, and observability infrastructure; establish AI-assisted engineering standards; and provide hands-on technical leadership while partnering across product, engineering, and design.

Requirements: Requires 7+ years of software engineering experience, hands-on production experience with LLMs, agentic workflows, retrieval, orchestration, and evaluation, plus a production model or orchestration migration. Candidates should have strong system design and full-stack skills, experience with access controls and customer-facing incidents, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; HR domain and systems-of-record experience are preferred.
