**Senior Design Engineer -- Electrical Connectors**(100-130K)

Due to continued business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer - Electrical Connectors to join an industry-leading engineering team supporting advanced connector product development.

This is a remote direct hire position, with approximately 20-25% travel to the Binghamton, NY area.

**++Key Responsibilities++**

? Lead the mechanical design and development of connector products from concept through production launch.

? Design plastic injection molded components and complex electromechanical assemblies.

? Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior design engineers.

? Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, testing, and cross-functional engineering teams to develop innovative product solutions.

? Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using SolidWorks and ePDM.

? Perform engineering analysis utilizing FEA, Mold Flow, tolerance stack-up, and design validation techniques.

? Develop and maintain BOMs, ECNs, specifications, test plans, and other engineering documentation.

? Support continuous improvement initiatives and root cause investigations utilizing Lean engineering tools.

**++Qualifications++**

? Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

? 5+ years of product design experience in a manufacturing environment.

? Strong experience designing plastic injection molded components.

? Proficiency with SolidWorks, ePDM, FEA, and Mold Flow analysis.

? Working knowledge of GD\&T, tolerance analysis, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).

? Experience utilizing Lean problem-solving tools such as Root Cause Analysis and A3 methodologies.

? Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop less experienced engineers.

**++Required Technical Experience++** Candidates should have direct experience designing electrical connector products, including:

? Circular, rectangular, high-speed, or fiber optic connectors

? Contact system design, plating, mating cycles, and connector reliability

? MIL-spec or other industry-standard interconnect systems

? High-speed interconnect or signal integrity design experience
