Mechanical Engineer (Engineer IV)

Job Description

Lead mechanical engineering work for Park Authority facilities, including HVAC and building automation system design, management, diagnostics, integration, operations, and staff training. Review plans and engineering issues, coordinate design and construction projects, conduct inspections, represent the Park Authority in multi-agency discussions, and prepare technical reports and related materials.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering or architectural field, at least four years of progressively responsible professional experience, and a valid Virginia Professional Engineer or Architect license. Preferred qualifications include substantial lead mechanical PE experience with commercial HVAC, building automation, plumbing, energy management, critical facilities, and project and contract management.
