SME Software Engineer

Job Description

Oversee and evaluate software architecture, design, integration, testing, and sustainment for classified aircraft and weapons-system programs, including contractors’ CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines. Translate operational requirements into system requirements, assess technical risks and proposals, review test results and documentation, and advise government and contractor stakeholders on engineering strategies and technology transitions.

Requirements: Requires a master’s degree in an engineering discipline, at least 20 years of relevant DoD, government-agency, or contractor experience, an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI and SAP access, and at least three years of SAP or SCI experience within the past five years. Candidates must be able to travel up to 10% within the continental United States; computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering education and expertise in DoD software acquisition, Agile, CI/CD, real-time systems, DevSecOps, and MBSE are desired.
