Lead Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Lead mechanical design activities for custom automation projects, including BIW fixtures, tooling, end effectors, and automated equipment, from concept through final review. Coordinate design teams, prepare and present engineering documentation to customers, and support manufacturing, assembly, debugging, and project milestones.

Requirements: Requires proven BIW and mechanical design experience, proficiency with Siemens NX, engineering calculation capability, and experience leading design teams in an engineering or automation environment. Candidates should have experience working with GM, strong communication and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to travel in the United States and Canada; a mechanical engineering or related degree and familiarity with GM toolkit and GMD1 standards are additional qualifications.
