Location Washington DC 100 Onsite Clearance Top SecretSCI Job Type Full time Target Salary Range 175000 200000 This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level years of experience andor certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary Position OverviewThe DevSecOps Engineer designs develops deploys and supports secure CICD pipelines cloud native infrastructure observability solutions and automated application delivery capabilities within a DoD environment This role supports containerized applications Kafka and Elastic platforms AWS cloud environments security compliance infrastructure automation certificate lifecycle management and operational reliability The DevSecOps Engineer works within an Agile development environment and collaborates with DevOps Security Cloud and Application Engineering teams to integrate security controls monitoring automation testing and operational standards throughout the software delivery lifecycle Key ResponsibilitiesCICD and Deployment AutomationDevelop automated CICD build and deployment pipelines using JenkinsCloudBees Artifactory KubernetesOpenShift Docker Ansible and BitbucketAutomate application deployment configuration testing and infrastructure management activitiesDevelop automated tests using Ansible Selenium JMeter JUnit and other applicable toolsSupport reliable software delivery across development testing and production environmentsCloud Container and Data Platform SupportAssist with deployment configuration testing troubleshooting maintenance and upgrades of Kafka and Elastic clusters and environmentsConfigure applications to integrate network data into an Elastic Stack environment hosted within AWSSupport containerized application environments using KubernetesOpenShift and DockerTroubleshoot and resolve installation infrastructure application and system issuesObservability and Reliability EngineeringDevelop and maintain centralized dashboards and observability solutions that monitor application health performance availability security posture infrastructure utilization and cloud spendImplement proactive monitoring alerting and automation using metrics logs and tracesImprove incident detection operational visibility root cause analysis and system reliabilityProactively identify report monitor and mitigate technical risksSecurity and ComplianceConfigure applications and infrastructure to meet DoD cybersecurity requirements including applicable Security Technical Implementation GuidesCollaborate with Security Cloud DevOps and Application Engineering teams to integrate security controls and compliance monitoring into CICD pipelines and production environmentsSupport remediation of security findings and configuration requirementsCloud Cost OptimizationAnalyze infrastructure and cloud resource utilization to identify cost optimization opportunitiesImplement rightsizing idle resource identification storage optimization compute optimization and FinOps practicesMonitor cloud spend and support improvements to cost efficiency across environmentsCertificate Lifecycle ManagementManage enterprise certificate lifecycle operations including provisioning renewal rotation and expiration monitoringAutomate certificate management activities to support secure and uninterrupted service deliveryAgile Collaboration and Technical LeadershipWork as part of an Agile development team and participate in daily Scrum activitiesDemonstrate working software and completed capabilities to stakeholdersCollaborate with geographically distributed team members customers and stakeholders to support project objectivesCommunicate technical status risks and recommendations to customers and program leadershipProvide technical leadership and maintain detailed engineering and operational documentationQualificationsEducationBachelors degree in a relevant technical discipline with 812 years of prior relevant experience;
