**Job Title:** Application Engineer

**Summary:**

Innovators by nature, AID has an unrivaled knowledge of motors and drive packages compared to anyone else in the market. We have been in business for more than 35 years and have over one hundred years of product and application knowledge. Application Engineers will read customer requirements and technical specs, listen to customer requests, and design panel circuitry to achieve said goal. They need to fully understand the NEC and are an integral element of the engineering, production, and sales teams. This role requires effective communication skills in a team environment and could be based remotely, or at any of our manufacturing facilities.

**Responsibilities:**

* Design panel circuitry
* Communicate with sales team members when clarification is needed.
* Specify component brand, model \& part number.
* Generate accurate and timely commercial quotations for customers, aligning specs with pricing strategies and customer requirements.
* Support and advise procurement team.
* Align production and procurement on the best approach to solve customer need.
* Be available for customer fact finding calls.
* Be available at moment's notice to guide the production team when consultation is needed.
* Be flexible to prioritize daily production time-sensitive solutions over daily workload.
* Be commitment bound.
* Travel occasionally to other production facilities. (Less than 10-days per year)

* Ability to create schematics (wiring diagrams) from customer application requirements.
* Experience with electric motor control circuits
* Microsoft Office skills
* AutoCAD LT dwg skills (or equivalent)
