BOOST LLC is a dynamic management consulting firm that offers an array of government compliant back office solutions to support our teaming partners within the GovCon space We are working with our client Don Selvy Enterprises DSE to find their next highly skilled GPS Modernization Engineer About DSE DSE Inc is a team of experienced professionals dedicated to engineering training and program management that enables front line soldiers sailors and Marines to fully exploit the tactical capabilities of aviation and maritime platforms We accomplish this by using the most qualified employees and keeping abreast of every new capability in aviation maritime technologies and simulationtraining technology as it emerges Our wide range of expertise is constantly expanding as we seek valued members of the DSE team and work to develop each of them to their fullest potential in the field To this day DSE continues to foster a work environment that supports ingenuity and the care for each member of the team The Role The GPS Modernization Engineer supports the AIR PNT Positioning Navigation and Timing team within the Air Combat Electronics program office at NAVAIR PMA 209 the Navys executive agent for common avionics and foundational warfighting capabilities Youll provide navigation engineering support for the integration and sustainment of EGI and GPS receivers including MAGR 2K LN 100251300351 and ANAV 3MM across a broad range of naval aviation platforms such as the E 2D FA 18 C 130J MQ 4C H 160 CH 53K MV 22 P 8A and E 6B This work sits at the center of one of the Department of Defenses highest priority modernization efforts transitioning the fleet to M code GPS to deliver assured jam and spoof resistant navigation in GPS contested and GPS denied environments Its a rare opportunity to work hands on across the naval aviation enterprise on capabilities that directly affect mission readiness for the warfighter Why DSE DSE doesnt just ask for your experience it rewards it DSEs PTO program is experience based rather than tenure based meaning the relevant industry experience you bring with you can qualify you for a higher PTO allocation from day one rather than starting over at the bottom like you would at most employers Its a rare structure in this industry where most companies only reward the tenure you earn after you join not the years of expertise you bring with you That same philosophy carries through the rest of the benefits package Starting salary range 80000 to 125000 annually100 company paid medical and dental premiums for employees 50 for dependents401k with up to a 4 company matchFully paid life short term and long term disability insurance no cost to youEmployer funded FSA plus HRA contributions toward your deductibleExperience based PTO your prior relevant experience can qualify you for a higher PTO allocation from day one plus the option to purchase additional PTO11 paid holidays 6 national 5 floatingTuition reimbursement to support continued professional growth Responsibilities Provide navigation engineering support for the integration testing and sustainment of EGI and GPS receivers MAGR 2K LN 100251300351 ANAV 3MM across multiple naval aviation platformsSupport platform integration efforts on aircraft including the E 2D FA 18 C 130J MQ 4C H 160 CH 53K MV 22 P 8A and E 6BContribute to the transition to M code GPS capability supporting assured PNT performance in contested and denied environmentsReview and prepare engineering and technical documentation including Engineering Change Proposals ECPs CDRLs technical white papers and platform integration plansSupport system requirements analysis design evaluation and verification activities across the navigation systems lifecycleCoordinate with platform program offices engineering teams and stakeholders to align requirements schedules and integration strategiesSupport test planning procedures and evaluation to validate receiver and system performance against operational requirementsIdentify integration risks technical gaps and performance issues and recommend mitigation strategies Required Education Bachelor of Science BS or higher in Electrical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or a closely related technical field with a focus or specialization in Navigation Systems Required Experience Progressive professional engineering experience with a focus on defense aviation navigation platformsExperience with EGIGPS receiver integration and support is strongly preferredFamiliarity with M code GPS modernization assured PNT or GPS contesteddenied environment operations is a plusFamiliarity with the DoD Systems Engineering Technical Review SETR process is a plusMust work onsite 100 of the time at Naval Air Station Patuxent River St Marys County MarylandMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance;
