Senior Flight Software Engineer

Job Description

Develop reliable flight software that controls spacecraft, satellite buses, and reentry capsules throughout their missions. Own software development from requirements and design through testing, integration, verification, validation, and flight operational support.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software, plus at least five years developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software. Candidates must have C++ development experience and a strong understanding of the language; preferred experience includes spacecraft launches, real-time embedded systems, aerospace safety-critical software, CCSDS, F' or cFS, Python or Rust, electronics, and communication interfaces.
