Principal Software Engineer

Job Description

Define and maintain the fusion power plant’s end-to-end Core Software architecture, including device interfaces, calibration, data systems, and operator interfaces, and implement critical components using C++ and Python. Establish engineering standards and lead technical decisions across teams while mentoring engineers and building reliable, traceable calibration workflows.

Requirements: Requires extensive experience designing control software for complex physical or industrial systems, integrating hardware and software, and implementing automated calibration workflows, data systems, and operator HMIs. Candidates should have strong C++ or Python skills, experience architecting mission-critical systems, and the communication and leadership abilities to guide cross-functional technical decisions.
