Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure

Job Description

Design, build, and maintain container infrastructure used across Stripe, while improving its scalability, reliability, security, automation, and observability. Lead cross-team technical decisions and roadmap planning, debug production issues, identify shared compute needs, and mentor engineers.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or an equivalent field, 15+ years of software development or DevOps automation experience, and substantial experience with networking, Kubernetes, cloud providers, and distributed infrastructure systems. Candidates should also have led cross-team projects, improved reliability and security, scaled or migrated systems with minimal downtime, and mentored engineers.
