Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Review customer opto-mechanical requirements and optical design tolerances, then develop cost-effective, manufacturable mechanical designs that meet product and system requirements. Perform analyses and modeling, collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams, support fixture design, present and defend design decisions, and keep assigned work within budget and schedule.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering and at least five years of professional experience, preferably in photonics. Candidates must be expert SolidWorks users with in-depth knowledge of thermo-mechanical material properties and demonstrated thermal and mechanical analysis ability, as well as strong communication skills and attention to detail.
